Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese (BGDCMC for short, also abbreviated as Boy Girl etc.) is an American-French-Irish animated series based on an original concept by Jeff Harter and Cloudco Entertainment. The series premiered on October 31, 2019 on CBBC and Gulli.
The series' second season concluded on August 17, 2022, with a third season currently in production. New episodes air on CBBC in the United Kingdom and Gulli in France.
Synopsis
A happy family!
The series revolves around the (mis)adventures of an average family consisting of a boy, girl, dog, cat, mouse and a talking piece of cheese, who live in a big house together. A family with wildly different origins but their bond as tight as nails, they go on new (chaotic) adventures while learning new morals along the way at the end of the day.

Seasons
The series has two seasons already aired, with a third in the works as of 2022.
- Season One aired from October 31, 2019 to October 13, 2020.
- Season Two, airing almost a year after Season One finished, aired from January 3, 2022 to August 17, 2022.
- Season Three is set to start on November 20, 2023.

Production
The series was known to have been in production since 2006,[4] and was intended to be made for Cartoon Network. In 2011, Cloudco first filed a trademark for its title. Originally it was to be produced by Cloudco Entertainment along with Mercury Filmworks in Canada, as per an agreement by the Writers' Guild of Canada. The trademark expired in 2014 and was renewed, with Disney XD and Teletoon as the networks intending to air the series as of 2015, but it expired again in 2017.
The first season was produced between September 26, 2018 and February 8, 2020. In June 2019, the series was renewed for a second season. The production of season 2 began in July 2020, with production wrapping up on December 17, 2021.[5]
The show was renewed for a third series on 6 July 2022.[6]
Broadcast
United Kingdom and France
Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese premiered on CBBC in the United Kingdom on October 31, 2019, and daily episode premieres continued on November 19. On January 6, 2020, the series initially premiered on Family Channel in Canada, but was moved to Family Chrgd in the fall of 2021.
On June 15, 2020, Season 1B premiered on CBBC in the United Kingdom and on Gulli in France on March 15, 2020. Season 1B began its run on Canal J on January 1, 2021.
International
The series is available on Netflix in some regions. In that case, the sound will be upmixed to 5.1 surround sound. Internationally, the series can be found on your regional kids' TV channel; however, most international airings of the series could be found on Disney Channel/Disney XD (though if Disney XD is closed in your region, it can be found on Disney Channel) or Cartoon Network.
On June 12, 2021, Yle TV2 began broadcasting the series in Finland during the "Galaxi” programming block and as of July 9. 2021, SIC K has been broadcasting the series dubbed into European Portuguese.
In April 2022, HBO Max Latinoamérica announced via social media that Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese would be added to their platform for broadcast across Latin America, with a Spanish-language dub.[7] The series was added on April 22, 2022, along with a Brazilian Portuguese dub in addition to the Latin American Spanish dub.
